Hi, New to this message board and just bought the book. My parents both worked at Sattler's 998 in the '50s. My mom worked in a number of departments and my dad worked in trash collection, then shoes. In fact, they got engaged in Sattler's jewelry dept. I was born in '56 and we lived at 186 Gibson (upstairs), which now is a vacant lot. I collect Sattler's "stuff" when I can. I have the 1947 acetate (78 rpm record) of commercials and I have transferred it to CD. Anyone else out there? John www.lancasterheroes.com

Hi did not know much about sattlers other than that is where my Aunt worked. The internet is amazing where people can connect even over a job or employer from 30-40-50 years ago. I wonder if sattlers was a good employer??? Did they treat their employees well?
